My acoustic El Capitan has been with me about 8 years. My ibanez 6… about 7 (though I rarely play it). My main bass, Pedulla J2000 5, bought it new about two years ago. — O< "How come I gotta’ be Mr. Pink?" /() ^^ Slidell, LA
Response:
1977 – Bought a new Ric 4001 1986 – Built a Warmoth Fretless 1998 – Ibanez SDGR 800 (working’ bass!) 2000 – Yamaha RBX 360 (outdoor gigs!) 2001 – Dean Acoustic Bass (in case I join Los Lobos!) 2003 – Fender American Jazz I’ve never sold a bass in my life. Currently, the Jazz gets played the most. The Ric is "the wife". Geoff Sunny Buffalo – Hurricane free since the Ice Age
Response:
My main bass is a 1978 Ibanez Artist 2626B, which has outlived a couple of Precisions, an Aria SB1000, a Rick 4001, and a few others. Retired it two weeks ago, and bought an Ibanez Ergodyne EDA905 five string. Got a tax bill yesterday, so the Artist’s coming back out of retirement. EDA905 (it’s in Flare Orange Flat, a sort of semi-matt bright orange).
