I know he used various fretted and fretless Ibanez basses and Fender P-Basses. He also used several different types of electric uprights. For all the money in the world I can’t remember what series Ibanez he was using but it definitely was top of the line at that time. That was a walnut colored Ibanez Musician 8 String.

Fender Jazz, Fender Precision, Ibanez Musician and  Steinberger XL are those I’m pretty sure of, but there were more.

To the best of my knowledge, Sting used a fretless Fender P-bass with a maple board first, then a fretless Ibanez Musician, then a white Spector.
