a little help/advice please?

Question:

i was looking at buying this for a friend who has expressed some interest in the fender deluxe zone bass guitar for a little while. but i really personally have very little knowledge about purchasing this stuff at all. i am talking with the seller, and he’d sell the package listed for 600. is this a good deal? bad deal? etc? any help or advice is much appreciated. thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=917233581

Could that be an old Fender bass guitar valve amp? I’ve seen those go for $300ish in that condition as for the bass – it looks in good condition but you’ve got to play one to know if it’s worth it. I think you could get your money back (at least $500) if it didn’t work out but as mentioned a couple of times, disposable income is falling… so are prices. cb
